During this turbulent period, the fund showed its strength: while global stock indices fell by around 34% from peak to trough, Protect limited its decline to only 8.4%. In March 2020, when stock markets were down by a whopping 13%, Protect actually managed to increase its value by 1.6%. The fund\u2019s volatility peaked at 15% (measured as annualized rolling standard deviation), which was significantly lower than the volatility of the broader market.
